By supporting the systems behind Eurostat’s official statistics, Netcompany helps make statistical data easier to process, exchange, and use by decision-makers, citizens, businesses, and institutions.
Netcompany has been selected to lead the consortium under Lot 2 of a four-year framework agreement with Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union responsible for providing high-quality Europe-wide statistics and data.
The framework covers the modernisation of infrastructure and services for statistical data and metadata, helping make statistical information more consistent and accessible across Europe. Netcompany will develop solutions to facilitate the consistent exchange, processing and dissemination of official European statistics, while applying new technologies to strengthen automation and security.
Netcompany is also participating in the consortium for Lot 1, covering training and consultancy for implementing statistical standards for data and metadata exchange and dissemination and Lot 3, focusing on IT frameworks for statistical production, including data transformation, processing and data warehousing.
The agreement builds on more than 20 years of Netcompany’s work with Eurostat, contributing to statistical data collection, validation and dissemination using Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange (SDMX) standards and processes.
»Reliable statistics help people and organisations understand the changes taking place across Europe. And Eurostat plays an essential role in producing official reports with high-quality data that citizens, businesses and institutions can really rely on. We are proud to build on more than 20 years of working with Eurostat, helping make statistics easier to process and access, supporting the European Commission’s commitment to transparency«, says Spyros Ntokoros, Country Managing Partner, Netcompany Belux.
The framework agreement for Lot 2 has a maximum value of €17.96 million over four years across the consortium.
