Netcompany powers next-gen migration system for the Netherlands to meet new EU migration pact

Netcompany will build a new identification and registration system for the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation service (IND). The new system is a key step for IND towards complying with the new EU Pact on Migration and Asylum ahead of the 2026 deadline.

The EU Pact on Migration and Asylum aims to establish a common European system for managing migration with fast and efficient procedures, requiring all EU member states to strengthen their screening process. Netcompany will partner with the IND to build the system ahead of the EU pact’s deadline for implementation in 2026.

The new system is based on components from Netcompany’s AMPLIO platform and will contain case management as well as a citizen-facing portal. It will optimise immigration registration by converting time-consuming manual workflows into a centralised, service-oriented digital solution. It will consolidate applicants’ personal information while making the process more user-friendly, with better information and targeted assistance when truly needed.

»The IND is seizing the opportunity of the EU pact to modernise its IT systems. I’m proud of Netcompany’s role in delivering yet another society-critical solution to a national public entity in the EU and thereby expanding our expertise in identification and registration systems across Europe.«

Thomas Rysgaard, International Market Development Partner, Netcompany

Netcompany’s expertise with public entities and similar deliveries to other public institutions such as the Danish government ensures that the IND will receive high-level autonomy and support in the work ahead. This, combined with Netcompany’s strategic reuse of IT-components makes it possible to accelerate the process and achieve the goal of making a system that secures compliance to the new migration pact ahead of 2026.

»We are pleased with Netcompany as a partner in this process, where we have to deliver quickly under significant time pressure. Netcompany supports us by independently realising our wishes and providing content-based assistance during the implementation of the migration pact,« says Twan Erkens, Director IV/CIO of the IND.

The project will be completed before the end of 2025. Every country in the European Union will need to revise its identification and registration process to comply to the new pact, going into effect June 2026.

Building the Dutch solution will serve as a guiding example for other European countries preparing for the new EU ruleset.
