EASLEY AI

The origin story

EASLEY AI is unique in the way it delivers AI services and governance in a fully European context. Used internally with great success, EASLEY AI is now rolling out in other companies. This is the story of how it got started – and where it’s going.

The challenge

When the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT launched in 2023, it made headlines worldwide. The AI chatbot quickly became the fastest-growing app in history. One would be hard-pressed to find a tech company that didn’t wonder how the rise of AI would impact its business – including us.

»We quickly realised that if we didn’t start working with AI to transform, we probably wouldn’t exist in 10 years. It was a massive challenge, but it came with lots of opportunities as well«

Mathias Nysom Flohr, AI lead at our company

The Solution

To rapidly explore the emerging field, we started building an AI platform, initially meant for internal use.

Our team were given two goals. First, the new AI platform had to improve our company’s effectiveness. Secondly, it had to improve the quality of our work. The result, EASLEY AI, is an AI platform that can write and edit code, help navigate corporate documentation, answer company-relevant questions, write product texts, proposals, produce product deliverables, and much more.

But that’s not what makes EASLEY AI truly stand apart.

»No existing platform offered control over our data and how it is stored, which is very important to us as a European company. Secondly, because the market is in a state of hyper-innovation, we wanted complete model independence. Last but not least, we wanted a platform that fits our methodology. Rather than using a generalised platform, we wanted a platform that understood the unique elements of our work process«

The result

For our employees, EASLEY is a new colleague. It can be invited to meetings and write meeting references based on our meeting template; it can write and test code, review project documentation before it is sent to a senior colleague, double-check that a planned workshop ticks all the boxes; or it can simply be the first stop for our employees to ask company specific questions – especially the types of questions that new employees are not completely comfortable asking out loud.

Six months in, EASLEY is used by everyone at our company for some purpose or other. The opportunities are endless. Now, we want to explore its benefits and borders even deeper.

»Our current focus is to make people use it more frequently and for a bigger range of tasks. Sometimes, when you’re busy, you revert to old habits and forget you have an AI tool that can help you. Our implementation is more about finding the right way for people to use the tools than measuring just how much it benefits them – to us it’s a no-brainer that it does«, Mathias ends.

As a testament to its internal success, EASLEY is now being rolled out in several other companies – among them the Danish Business Authority, and, in a slightly different architecture, leading Danish insurance firm Topdanmark.
