Munich Airport (FMG) has selected AIRHART, developed by Netcompany and known as PULSE in other industries, as its new digital backbone. In addition, the airport has selected Netcompany as a strategic partner on a comprehensive framework agreement covering the airport’s digital transformation.
Netcompany continues its European growth by entering Europe’s largest market. Netcompany and Munich Airport (FMG), which with around 50 million annual passengers is Germany’s second largest airport, have shaken hands on a major platform contract and a comprehensive framework agreement.
AIRHART, known in other industries as PULSE, will be the new digital backbone of the entire Munich Airport ecosystem. It combines existing systems and real-time data into one solution, optimising the entire management of the airport and making it possible to predict incidents, minimise disruptions and make AI-supported decisions in real time. This allows the airport to increase efficiency and capacity using the same resources and physical infrastructure.
Passengers will experience significantly less waiting time and a smoother journey through every step from security screening to boarding the aircraft. Similarly, the platform ensures that passengers are provided with far more accurate information throughout their journey through the airport.
»Munich Airport has a strong commitment to innovation and creating a seamless experience for the millions of passengers who visit and transfer at our hub. The implementation of AIRHART and our partnership with Netcompany is a significant step towards that objective,« says Florian Lesch, Senior Vice President IT at Munich Airport.
