Leadership that starts with people

With eight successful releases and many more planned, Lê Hùng Tính, Manager within the PULSE platform, shares how his leadership approach is rooted in one key principle: investing in people.

Lê Hùng Tính joined Netcompany as a newly graduated IT professional with entry-level experience. Determined to close that gap, he arrived early and stayed late each day. Not because he was asked to, but because he wanted to improve.

»I wanted to challenge myself and grow quickly, so I put in extra effort each day,« he recalls. Over the past seven years at Netcompany, this mindset has shaped his growth and eventually led to his promotion to project manager.

Today, Tính leads the PULSE platform’s Vietnam team, managing three teams across functional development, maintenance, and testing. He balances delivery responsibility with a strong focus on developing people, helping them grow into roles where they can contribute meaningfully to the platform’s continued success.

A people-first approach in management

Every three months, the platform releases an update with new features.

With this consistent cycle, Tính and his team ensure each release meets high-quality standards – covering as many scenarios as possible, minimising bugs, maintaining stability across projects.

To make this work, Tính focuses not just on technical quality but also on helping his team do their best and grow.

Aligning talent with the right roles

»I joined the PULSE platform in its early days«, he shares. »I got to help shape the procedures, define how things should work, and set the standards. That experience gives me the insight I need to guide my team and help them succeed.«

Tính pays close attention to each person’s strengths, learning style, and the types of tasks they naturally enjoy. This helps him match people with roles where they can contribute effectively and grow with confidence.

»When they first joined, some members could only fix low-impact bugs. But soon after, they learned to create pull requests, understand how components work, and gradually take ownership of a feature, review pull requests, and handle project documentation.« For Tính, matching talent with the right responsibilities isn’t just about efficiency; it’s about building a community where knowledge is shared, and everyone supports one another.

  • »I’m happiest when I see members I onboarded from day one become capable of owning complex features or even leading a small team.«
Approval is easy, constructive feedback isn’t

Tính is known for setting high standards, but he sees feedback as a way to help his team grow. »Giving constructive feedback takes effort, but it’s how we learn and improve,« he says.

He applies the same principle to himself, reflecting on every piece of feedback he receives: »If I could do it again, how would I do it better?« Over the years, that mindset has shaped his own growth, and he encourages his team to do the same.

For Tính, success isn’t just completing tasks. It’s learning, improving, and helping others reach their potential. That philosophy guides his leadership and the way his team works together on the PULSE platform.
