Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Data Consultant to join our team. You will work with data warehouse/EDW platforms specifically built to support financial institutions and the banking sector. Your work will focus on automating data processes, enabling standardized development practices, and delivering high‑quality reporting solutions that allow clients to focus on their core business.
The role combines technical development, process optimization, and close collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders. We welcome both experienced candidates and ambitious recent graduates eager to grow into the role.
As a Senior Data Consultant you will :
- Work with data warehouses/EDW platforms and transform data into accurate and efficient reporting and analytical outputs.
- Automate data management processes and develop/maintain ETL jobs (SAS experience is an advantage).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data flows to ensure high data quality, integrity, and performance.
- Collaborate with IT teams, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Explore and use AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality.
- Apply a structured, analytical approach with focus on standardization, process optimization, documentation, and business value.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage data storage solutions and participate in performance optimization activities.
- Conduct data quality assessments and lead improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support on data management best practices to team members.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant IT specialization is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Basic experience with SQL and ideally knowledge of SAS (SAS Studio or SAS DIS).
- Experience with or motivation to work in data warehousing, ETL processes, and automated data flows.
- Interest in code standardization, testing, version control (e.g., Git), and automation practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with a structured working approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
- Proficiency in the English language is required
- Knowledge of Teradata tools or core banking systems (e.g., Kernesystemet, Advisor, FED) is beneficial but not required.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to grow into a trusted sparring partner for both the team and clients.
