Job Description
Are you ready to discover the role of an Event Management Officer in Netcompany?
As an Event Management Officer you will support an EU Institution in the design, planning and delivery of high-visibility institutional events. You will design, plan and deliver events in physical, online and hybrid formats, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and communication objectives.
This role involves full-cycle event management, from conceptualisation and planning to implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. You will coordinate logistical, administrative and communication aspects of events while ensuring high-quality standards, protocol compliance and adherence to EU institutional procedures.
As an Event Management Officer, you will:
- Develop event concepts aligned with institutional priorities, policy objectives and communication goals, translating high-level objectives into detailed and actionable event plans.
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of events, including conceptualisation, preparation, on-site implementation, post-event follow-up, monitoring and reporting.
- Manage event administration processes, including participant registration, database management and reporting through event management software (Cvent experience considered an advantage).
- Provide logistical coordination with internal teams, service providers and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of events.
- Draft and review event-related communications, briefing materials and protocols in line with institutional standards and communication guidelines.
- Monitor timelines, deliverables and operational aspects of events, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets and institutional procedures.
- Support stakeholder engagement and participant coordination, including liaison with EU institutions, Member States representatives and other relevant partners.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in international event management, including the delivery of events of comparable scale and complexity.
- Experience supporting or organising events for EU institutions or international organisations is highly desirable.
- Experience with event management software (Cvent considered an advantage), including participant registration and event administration.
- Excellent knowledge of English is required; knowledge of French and other EU languages is considered an asset.
- Good understanding of the EU institutional environment, policies and stakeholder landscape.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into operational event plans.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, with flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness and a solution-oriented mindset.
