Job Description

Are you ready to discover the role of a System Dev/Ops Engineer in Netcompany-Intrasoft?
As a System Dev/Ops Engineer you will:

  • Maintain and configure Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira), ensuring integration with EC security systems (e.g., EULOGIN).
  • Manage plugins, plan upgrades, and optimize performance.
  • Conduct load testing and code profiling using tools like JMeter.
  • Monitor applications in production and generate performance reports.
  • Manage physical architecture aspects, including clustering and DMZ configurations.
  • Design and coordinate the implementation of technical architectures and supporting infrastructures.
  • Assist in infrastructure development projects, including LAMP platform setups and PostgreSQL administration.
  • Administer Linux platforms and oversee OSS development and packaging.
  • Optimize Java Virtual Machine (JVM) performance and automate infrastructure deployments with testing and fallback mechanisms.
  • Perform code audits, testing, and deployment of applications using JEE expertise.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide coaching utilizing Atlassian Crucible.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation for platform and system administrators.
  • Create extensive end-user documentation.
  • Produce software architecture documents and establish guidelines for technical architecture in software development, considering the European Commission's existing infrastructure and its evolution.
Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role: 

  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix, Oracle/PostgreSQL, SQL, Java/JEE.
  • Scripting knowledge: Perl, Shell, or Groovy.
  • Experience with version control systems: SVN, Nexus, Git.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat server.
  • Understanding of LDAP authentication integration.
  • Knowledge of change, release, and deployment management.
  • Testing experience.
  • Fluent in English.

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

  • Experience with European Commission projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Analytical, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  • Reliable and punctual.
