So, what are the main duties of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Expert in Netcompany-Intrasoft?

As a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Expert, you will:

• Manage daily operations of the VDI environment (VMware/Omnissa Horizon).
• Act as the lead SME and technical owner of the VDI service.
• Drive continuous service improvements.
• Deliver project tasks assigned during PI Planning.
• Maintain documentation and support procedures, including upgrade cycles.
• Configure, maintain, and enhance the VDI from an admin perspective.
• Perform regular system checks and automate health monitoring.
• Optimize performance and plan for capacity needs.
• Apply deep experience in VMware/Omnissa Horizon design and support.

What would make you a fit for the role:

• College degree or 5+ years’ experience in complex IT environments, including Virtual Desktop solutions (preferably VMware/Omnissa Horizon).
• Expertise in VDI administration: vCenter, storage, virtual machines, and Windows server/workstation management.
• Experience managing large-scale, 24x7 mission-critical systems.
• Skilled in OS image maintenance, patching, and end-user VDI support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex infrastructures.
• Working knowledge of networking (e.g., load balancing, firewalls).
• Experience with Active Directory design and implementation.
• Familiar with ITIL practices and service lifecycle management.
• Exposure to Splunk/SCOM monitoring tools, Agile, and SAFe methodologies (assets).
• VMware certifications and experience with alternative VDI platforms (assets).
• Fluent in English (C1); French is a plus.
