I’m Benjamin, a Consultant at Netcompany based in Copenhagen, working across frontend and backend development while collaborating closely with my team and clients. I tackle projects that challenge me to problem-solve, make decisions, and keep things moving smoothly. Outside work, I’ve competed internationally in trampoline – a passion that taught me focus and discipline, which I carry into every project. Here’s a look at a day in my life.
06:30 AM
My day starts early. I live quite far from Copenhagen and the client I’m working with, so I have to get up early to beat the morning traffic. My mornings are pretty straightforward. I just need to get dressed and tidy myself up before heading out the door. Usually, it takes 20 minutes from when I’m up until I’m out the door at 06:50.
06:52 AM
I leave for work and start the commute.

08:23 AM
I arrive at the client’s office. First thing I do is grab a coffee – usually a double cappuccino from the canteen machine – and then head to my desk. I start the day by checking emails, pull requests, and Azure DevOps. Mornings are usually more about getting an overview and handling smaller tasks, so I don’t often get into coding right away.

09:15 AM
Daily stand-up with the team. It’s a quick sync to align on progress, blockers, and priorities for the day.

10:00 AM
This part of the day varies. I spend time coding, catching up on tasks, and sometimes joining meetings or sparring sessions with colleagues from our Vietnam office.
I joined Netcompany in May 2025. Being new to both the company and the project has definitely come with challenges. I usually work as a frontend developer, but on this project, I’ve been doing backend development, which has pushed me out of my comfort zone.
My approach is pretty simple: I try to “grab the bull by the horns.” Instead of getting intimidated by what I don’t know, I work my way through it and figure things out step by step.
11:58 AM
Lunch with colleagues. It’s a nice break in the day and a good way to catch up socially.
12:30 PM
The afternoon is usually more focused work – coding, designing solutions, working on infrastructure related to development, and talking with the client.
I really enjoy the collaboration aspect of my work. My colleagues make the day more fun, and we help each other out a lot. At the same time, the client challenges my decisions, which pushes me to be well-prepared and really understand the processes I’m working with.
Some of the best moments are when nothing is blocking you. When you can just focus and get things done. That, and when the client acknowledges that you’ve done a good job.
I’ve also started taking ownership of certain areas, especially around letters and communication, where I’ve made some key decisions. As someone early in my career, that responsibility means a lot.

02:30 PM
I head to our headquarters for my mentor meeting.
For my mentor meetings, we usually talk about how things are going on my project – whether I’m enjoying it, if I feel challenged, and anything else going on in my work or life. My mentor appreciates that I’m ambitious and have a clear sense of the direction I want to go in.
The meetings are designed to support real progress between sessions, rather than just status updates. He helps guide me in the direction I want to go and supports me in becoming more proactive when it comes to taking on responsibility.
04:26 PM
I leave the office and head towards Haslev.

05:55 PM
I arrive in Haslev for training.

06:00 PM
Training. Software engineering takes a lot of mental energy, so switching to something physical really helps reset my mood and energy. For me, that means heading out to train in trampoline.
I’ve been doing it for most of my life and competing at a high level, including European and World Championships. Right now, I train around four times a week, which is what fits in alongside a full-time job and everything else in everyday life. It takes quite a bit of planning – especially with commuting – but it’s something I prioritise because it gives me a lot back.
I think my background as an athlete also shapes how I approach my work. I’m used to working towards long-term goals and putting in consistent effort, even when things are challenging. I know where I want to go. It’s about figuring out how to get there.
At the same time, it’s taught me to be comfortable being pushed out of my comfort zone. That’s often where you improve the most – both in sports and in my work as a consultant.
