»I want to look back on my life and feel proud of everything I've accomplished«
A childhood across borders
Together with his Swedish Swiss mother and Norwegian father, Alexander spent his early childhood in Switzerland, before moving to Oman at the age of seven – a country he had never heard of at the time.
»My upbringing is probably different from most people. I’ve travelled a lot and lived in several countries, allowing me to learn several languages. Alongside Norwegian, I’m fluent in German and Swedish, with some proficiency in French and Dutch. Still, growing up in Oman, I had to adapt to my year group of 88 students speaking 73 different languages. Therefore, since I lived there until I was 19, I would probably consider English to be my preferred language«, Alexander explains, continuing:
»I like to think I’ve embraced many valuable traits from different cultures, shaping who I am today. However, after moving so much during my upbringing, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where I’m from. My accent might just give it away«, Alexander laughs.
Committed to upholding high standards
During his years in Oman, the country was undergoing rapid growth and making significant investments in its education system, especially in technical fields. Excellence was the norm in this high-achieving environment—a mindset “Alex” has embraced and carried forward ever since.
»I’ve been fortunate in life, but I’ve also learned that hard work is essential to achieve top grades and gain admission to leading universities. That’s why performing at my best has always been important to me, « Alexander shares.
A passion for travel shaped his career choice
Alexander loves experiencing new cultures, and despite his young age, he has already visited 52 countries. His curiosity for new experiences was crucial in his decision to study in Sweden and the Netherlands, and it was also a key factor in his move to Norway in 2022.
»It’s no secret that my background has given me an interest in moving to new countries and trying new things. I love travelling and getting to know new people – and I have a goal of visiting at least one new country every year. When Netcompany reached out to me, the opportunity to live in Norway, which I had only visited a few times before, was a decisive factor in making Oslo my next destination«, Alexander says.
»Growing up in different countries taught me important lessons that have shaped my career. It helped me adapt to others and communicate easily with new people every day«

From newcomer to key resource
Since joining Netcompany, Alexander’s work ethic and drive to excel have not gone unnoticed – on the contrary. He quickly developed, and with his dedication and ability to take on responsibility, earned a team lead position after just four months. His rapid growth can be attributed to his fearlessness in embracing new challenges.
»A lot of dedication, hard work, and a willingness to take on new tasks have brought me to where I am today. I also thrive in team environments, and my diverse background has given me a solid foundation for collaborating with others and building trust«.
»In any project, it’s crucial to be seen as a trusted resource and a strong communicator with clients. Therefore, it’s a great token of confidence that I’ve been given roles requiring significant client interaction«, he adds.
Becoming the best version of himself
On the project with Møller Mobility Group, Alexander has been a key contributor to modernising their IT infrastructure and developing several business-critical applications. As a key player in their digital transformation, he also strives to inspire his colleagues. For Alexander, making a positive impact on those around him and on society has always been a top priority.
»I’ve always wanted to make a difference. It’s not just about achieving personal success but also contributing to something bigger and inspiring others to do the same. That’s why I always aim to be the best version of myself, and that also means being a decent person. When I look back on my life, I want to feel proud of everything I’ve accomplished, and I hope to be a good role model for my future children and grandchildren«, Alexander concludes.
