Train travel set to become more predictable: Netcompany and Go-Ahead partner to strengthen disruption management and maintenance through real-time data and a new PULSE orchestration platform.
Netcompany and Go-Ahead Norway are joining forces to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making in rail operations. The partnership is based on Netcompany’s orchestration platform, PULSE, and focuses on areas where train operators face the greatest operational pressure, such as maintenance and disruption management.
»Our most important task at Go-Ahead is to deliver a train service that is predictable, both for customers and employees. Our collaboration with Netcompany and the use of the PULSE platform will help ensure more predictable operations and a better travel experience for our customers. When Go-Ahead took over maintenance responsibility for the Class 73 train sets, a significant maintenance backlog was identified. This has led to the cancellation of certain departures for a period,« says Emil Eike, Managing Director of Go-Ahead.
A key objective is to provide more precise and relevant information to passengers, both in the short and long term. With a stronger data foundation, communication can be more targeted and increasingly automated, for example towards passengers with tickets or season passes, which can reduce frustration and improve predictability.
